        TEST                    Test using ECOS 7106. All normally run tests
                                should pass with the following exceptions:   

                                   TEST 3 (Neutral to Ground short test) -
                                          should indicate a Neutral-to-ground
                                          short

                                  TEST 10 (Isolated Ground Receptacle test) -
                                          This test is not applicable.

                          FREQUENCY: EVERY TWO MONTHS

         BASE                   Clean and observe for physical damage. Check
                                fan operation.

      OPERATION                 Disconnect the input AC voltage (with the
                                attached system running BUT NOT IN ANY CUSTOMER
                                PROGRAMS!) and insure inverter operation is
                                normal and AC is maintained for five minutes.

                                If the AC is not maintained, the batteries will
                                have to be replaced. The cost of battery
                                replacement is a customer responsibility and is
                                not covered in the maintenance agreement on the
                                UPS.

                                Refer to FIB 4 in the LINE CONDITIONER-ALL FIB
                                group for battery replacement procedures and
                                cautions.
