The Tandon TM-100 is a 5 1/4" floppy disk for microcomputers. It is sometimes
used as a replacement for the Micro Peripherals 92 on the Basic Four S/10 system
(Direct OA1000).

Tandon Drives have been purchased to fill replacement demands on S10's.  The
Tandon Drive has an 8 position shunt (Jumper Block) that requires the following
options be set to work on an S10.

                 *** DEVICE SELECT STRAPS FOR NS16 AND PC39 ***

SYMPTOM:  DRIVE SELECT FAILURES

FIX:  The jumper block at 1E is designed to accomodate a dip shunt or dip
switches. When a shunt is used, all jumper connections must be made or
broken from the top, not the legs. If the legs are cut the shunt cannot be
used to remake the connection if the configuration must be changed. Also if a
heavier gauge of wire is used to jumper the connection, the contacts will
spread or bend causing a 601 error or drive BOOT failure.
