The DEC OPAL CD appears to be an ODS-2 filesystem in ISO9660 format (or some kind of dual-session deal.)  We were able to mount it in Linux by specifying a 512-byte block size, like so:

sudo mount -o loop OPAL.iso /mnt -o block=512
